Muxen ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Muxen platform.
1. Information We Collect
Account and Profile Data
When you register, we collect your name, email address, username, profile photo, bio, and niche or content category. You may also provide optional details such as audience demographics and location.
Social Account Data
To power creator profiles and brand-matching features, you may connect social accounts — including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and LinkedIn. When you do, we receive publicly available information provided through those platforms' official APIs, such as your handle, follower count, engagement metrics, and profile photo. We do not receive your passwords for those platforms.
Communications
Messages you send or receive through Muxen's messaging features are stored on our servers to deliver and display them to you and your conversation partners.
Usage and Technical Data
We automatically collect standard server log data when you use the platform, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and timestamps. This data helps us operate and improve the service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and maintain your Muxen profile.
- To display your profile to other registered users, brands, and potential collaboration partners.
- To facilitate messaging, introductions, and brand deal negotiations on the platform.
- To send transactional emails (account verification, password resets, service notices).
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud or abuse.
- To analyze usage trends and improve platform features. If we add analytics providers in the future, we will update this policy.
3. How We Share Your Information
With Other Users
Your public profile — including your name, photo, bio, niche, and connected social account metrics — is visible to other registered Muxen users and brands on the platform. Messages are shared only with the specific user(s) in each conversation.
Service Providers
We may share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate the platform (e.g., hosting, database, and email providers). These vendors are contractually bound to protect your data and may not use it for their own purposes.
Payment Processors
If we introduce payment features in the future (e.g., via Stripe), payment card data will be handled directly by the payment processor and will not be stored on Muxen servers.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Muxen, our users, or the public.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Third-Party Platforms
Connecting a social account (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn) is governed by both this policy and the respective platform's own privacy policy. We encourage you to review those policies. You can revoke Muxen's access to any connected account at any time through that platform's settings.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or necessary to resolve disputes.
6. Your Rights (California Residents — CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how we use it.
- Request deletion of your personal information.
- Opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell it).
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

7. Children's Privacy
Muxen is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will delete it promptly. If you believe a child under 13 has registered, please contact us at privacy@muxen.app.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and access controls. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
